Elizabeth Louise “Betty Lou” Dunning Sanger was a bridesmaid at the wedding of John E. and Eleanor Blake Kirkpatrick.

Front of the picture has written, “Grandmother Hardy Gibbony,” John E. Kirkpatrick’s maternal great-grandmother. She was the “grandmother” to Dr. E. E. Kirkpatrick.

Back of photograph has “Joe Rumsey, Jr.” Image likely Joseph Francke Rumsey, Jr. This Joe Rumsey was married to May Brockenbrough Baker, the daughter of John D. and Alice Upsahw Blake Baker. J. D. Baker was business partner of Samuel Diggs Blake, the paternal grandfather of Eleanor Blake Kirkpatrick.

Back of photograph says “Bud Marshall, Quanah, TX Eleanor’s 1st cousin. Mildred and Katheryn’s brother.” Nealy Edward “Bud” Marshall was the second son of John Calvin and Emma Ozelia Talbott Marshall. The couple’s other children were Johnnie Katherine and Mildred Isabelle Marshall. He was also the brother to Hugh Talbott Marshall, the father of John Hampton Marshall who married Ann Hanna Dudley in January 1975.

Johnnie Katherine Marshall is daughter of daughter of John Calvin and Emma Ozelia Talbott Marshall, Eleanor’s grand aunt. Katherine was her cousin.

Miriam Koehler was a childhood friend of Eleanor Blake Kirkpatrick, who attended Miss Madeira’s school with her. Both women were also members of the Kappa Alpha sorority. Her father Mathias Koehler was also associated with Mack B. Blake via The Security National Bank of Lawton.

Back of the picture reads, “Mrs. George S. Bole (Alwilda Millikin) my brother Claude S. Kirkpatrick’s mother-in-law Tulsa 1939.” Bottom of the picture has “Alwilda Bole. (Mrs. George S.” and “Elizabeth Kirkpatrick’s mother (Mrs. Claude S.)”

Back of picture of painted portrait: “Charles Blake great grandfather of Eleanor Blake Kirkpatrick. He married Lucy Roane Blake.” This information is correct in so far as Charles Blake is the great grandfather of Eleanor. However, his wife was Mary Ann Upshaw. One of their daughters was named Lucy Roane Blake.

The back of the photograph of the portrait reads, “Lucy Roane Blake (Mrs. Charles holding son Samuel Diggs Blake, my grandfather. Eleanor Blake Kirkpatrick.”

Photograph of a painted portrait of Joel Foster Blake was the son of Charles and Mary Ann Upshaw Blake, uncle to Mack B. Blake, father of Eleanor Blake.

Sarah Emma Meers Talbott, mother to Kathryn Talbott Blake, and maternal grandmother to Eleanor Blake Kirkpatrick was born 1844 and died 1915. Married William Johnson Talbott December 23, 1869.
